If you need parts or info on the 8400 MP or LP I support them.

I found this very informative. I just got a mill but it doesn’t have the Allen Bradley controller. I still have to look at the make of controller. I found the wiring diagrams and info there very fascinating and informative since the mill had no documentation. It is a Supermax mill similar to yours from 1984 and from what I was told everything is fine except the computer module but I have a ton of cleanup, debug, rewiring to do. I have single phase power in my barn so that part of the post was most interesting to me as well. Thanks for taking the time to post your work.

Hi Mike. First of all, I really appreciate that you share everything you have done to modernize your old mill! I have an Allen Bradley 8400MP controller too, and I am trying to get to the Serial I/O page, however, it will not let me. It tells me, “Function not Allowed”. Do you know of a way past this?

Thanks Charles! When you start the control up do you use the password “ABBP”? That’s the only thing I could think of keeping you out.
