I’ve pretty much finished off the how-to section dealing with how to transfer programs to the Allen Bradley 8400MP control from a PC.  This section is probably just a tad more exciting than the how-to stuff I’ve created relative to adding the VFD drive.  I say this because transferring programs, or dripfeeding large programs sort of expands the abilities of this old mill as well as other old mills.  In a sense, it’s almost like an upgrade to these old machines because it allows you to interface them to the most up-to-date computer aided design and milling software.

I have plenty more I need to add to the how-to section.  I want to add information on how to create work and tool offsets within the AB control – which is far from intuitive as far as I’m concerned.  I’ll likely be adding some Autodesk Fusion360 stuff as it relates to the AB control…so stay tuned.
